Our Mission
We are creating a beloved community where you are no longer a stranger…to yourself or to the world.
Why Yoga With Us?
I want to give people experiences where they can feel their body. Not the tired, hot, sweaty part of movement but the fully expressed, wrung out, totally grounded part. I am not directing you to place your body in a certain shape for a specific outcome. Your outcome will be different from mine and others and that is a beautiful thing. Share it with me! I want to walk you through your body using yoga methods. Yes, I will guide you to put your right hand here and left knee there and look at this point. That is so you stop thinking about what happened before this moment and what may come later. Just respond to what your body has been trying to tell you all day…all week…. this whole year.
I want to help you find the calm in the storm.
MEET THE STAFF
Tami Windell
I was born in Atlanta, Georgia but have lived in five of the southeastern states and Arkansas. I attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia where I received my bachelor’s degree in Animal Science in 1985. Yes, I went to school to become a farmer and succeeded in that from the mid 1980’s until 2012. Through the beauty of Facebook, I reconnected with my junior high sweetheart, Terry who lived in Rock Hill, SC. The timing was right, so I retired from and sold the farm in north Georgia to be with him in South Carolina. We married in 2013 at a beautiful park on the shore of the Catawba River surrounded by immediate family and close friends. Terry retired from his job with the City of Rock Hill when, on a whim, we bought a gift shop in 2017, right as I was embarking on my YTT program. We still own the store, Overhead Station, located in downtown Rock Hill about ½ mile from our home.
Terry Windell
Terry is a native of Rock Hill. He received his degree in Electrical Engineering in 1985. He held several jobs after college working in his field. He later started a commercial printing company, Action Press, which he owned and operated for 13 years until he was offered a job with the City of Rock Hill in their Neighborhood Empowerment department and later with their media services. Terry’s interests had always been photography, videography, and computer technology so the media services position was simply a “No Brainer” for him. Today Terry has his own video production company, runs social media accounts for several clients, manages Overhead Station along with Tami, and handles the video, graphics and I.T. side of BunnyDog Yoga.
Bunny
Bunny came into my life when I still had my horse farm in Jasper, Georgia. Truly I found her on the side of a country road and mistook her for a rabbit crouched right on the edge of a well trafficked street. I quickly realized it was not a rabbit but a puppy and picked her up and took her to my farm to join the other dogs. She became the ‘bunny-dog’ and her name never changed. From about 6 weeks old, Bunny was by my side every day of her life on the farm and when we joined Terry in Rock Hill he got an awesome package deal! Sadly, Bunny passed away at the beautiful age of 16 in our arms on January 20, 2022. She was my everything until I met Terry, so it made sense to me that I name my program after her. Besides, no one would come to a yoga studio if I called it Terry Yoga, right? LOL!
